Copyright and permissions
Last updated: 24 October 2026
Downloading or converting a video requires the necessary content rights and platform authorisation. A public link alone does not grant those rights.
Rights to the content
Submit media only when you have a lawful basis to download and convert it, such as ownership of the necessary rights, a licence that covers the intended use, or an applicable legal exception. Check every relevant part of the video, including music, sound recordings and third-party footage. Uploading a video yourself does not establish that you own every element.
Permission to view a video is not automatically permission to download, extract its audio, redistribute or use it commercially. Follow any licence conditions, including attribution, restrictions on commercial use and restrictions on modifications. A legal exception depends on the applicable law and the facts of the intended use; do not assume that every personal download qualifies.
Separate platform authorisation
Content rights do not replace the source platform's access rules. YouTube's Terms of Service restrict downloading except where expressly authorised by the service or covered by the required prior written permissions. They also restrict automated access, subject to the exceptions stated in those terms. Instagram's Terms of Use prohibit automated access or collection without express permission. Read the current terms applicable to your use.
Accepting platform terms, confirming the permission checkbox or successfully converting a link does not grant platform approval. Do not submit a link unless the access and download method is authorised. Do not bypass sign-in, payment, DRM or other access restrictions.
What YTMeet does and does not grant
YTMeet does not grant copyright licences to third-party media or permission on behalf of YouTube, Instagram or a rights holder. The checkbox asks you to confirm these requirements; it does not verify ownership or platform permission. These requirements are conditions of use, not evidence that a platform has approved this service.
Media remains owned by its respective rights holders. Converting it does not expand your rights to share, publish, sell or otherwise reuse it. YTMeet is independent of YouTube and Instagram and does not claim their endorsement.
Copyright enquiries and reports
Operator: YTMeet. Business contact details have not been published for this installation.
If you are a rights holder or an authorised representative, identify the protected work, provide the public source URL and explain the rights you hold and the activity you believe is unauthorised. Include your name, a reply email and any relevant date or time. If reporting for someone else, explain your authority to act. Provide accurate information; do not send passwords, account cookies, identity documents or private download links.
Use the form below when reporting is open, or the published operator email. A report does not automatically establish infringement or identify who downloaded a video. The operator reviews the source, the claimed rights, the evidence and any relevant exceptions before deciding what action to take. Incomplete or unsupported reports may be declined or require clarification.
Restrictions and disputes
After review, the operator can block a source video, stop its queued or running conversions and make existing results unavailable. Blocks apply to repeated requests and recognised URL variants of the same source. Active transfers are interrupted when the restriction is detected; bytes already received and copies already saved on a visitor's device cannot be recalled.
If you believe a block is mistaken, select "Dispute a source block" below and explain your content rights and the basis for platform access. The operator can reverse a block after review. Reversal does not restore deleted files or grant any new rights. This is our general review process; applicable legal notices, court orders and statutory procedures may impose additional requirements.
This service has no user accounts and does not claim to identify or ban a particular repeat infringer from an IP address alone. It restricts reported sources and rate-limits submissions. Temporary file expiry does not grant rights or replace handling a copyright concern. Our Privacy Policy explains how reports and review records are handled.
Send a copyright report or dispute
Copyright reporting is not open until the operator name and public contact email are published. This form is currently disabled.
Use one public source URL per submission. Explain why YTMeet is involved and include relevant evidence references. We do not fetch evidence links or accept file attachments. Do not send identity documents, account credentials or private download links.
Read the Terms of Service for the full conditions of use.
