Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026
This notice explains the data handled by this version of YTMeet when you convert a public YouTube or Instagram video.
Operator and enquiries
Operator: YTMeet. Business contact details have not been published for this installation. You can also visit our contact page for privacy, support or copyright enquiries. If you email the operator, your email address and the contents of your message are received by the operator and its email provider. Do not send passwords, account cookies, payment card details or private job links.
Video links, media and job data
When you submit a conversion, the server processes your video URL, selected platform, output format and quality. It retrieves public media from the source platform and creates a temporary output file. A job also has a random identifier, status, timestamps and, where available, a title, filename, duration and file size. This information is used to perform your conversion and return its result; it is not a permanent media library.
Completed jobs normally expire after 15 minutes. Active transfers may keep a file until the transfer ends. Source media is removed after successful conversion. Failed or cancelled job media is scheduled for removal; temporary file locks can delay cleanup. Restarting the service clears previous jobs. Anyone with a job link can access its result until expiry, so keep the link private.
Security, rate limits and diagnostics
IP addresses are temporarily held in memory to limit conversion requests. Small private failure records can contain job metadata, error messages and short log extracts, including file paths or source details. The application keeps at most 20 such records and prunes them using the normal 15-minute retention window. They are not exposed through a public diagnostics page. Web servers, proxies and hosting or network providers may separately process connection logs, such as IP addresses, request times and requested pages, under their own arrangements.
Aggregate operating measurements
We retain daily totals of page requests, job outcomes, processing time, file sizes, bytes served and sponsor/support link requests for up to 90 days. These counters do not store IP addresses, video URLs, titles, job identifiers or visitor profiles. They include automated traffic and are not unique-visitor statistics. They help operate the service, track resource use and maintain its limits.
Copyright reports and review records
The copyright form collects your name, reply email, role, public source URL, description of the work, explanation, optional evidence references and confirmations. It assigns a private receipt and stores the submission for operator review. We do not fetch evidence URLs, accept attachments or publish a report directory. Details are accessible through the operator's private server tools, not a public review API. No email is sent automatically by the form.
Reports and decisions are normally removed 180 days after their last review or submission; decision audit entries are kept for 180 days. Source blocks retain the source identifier, URL and the operator's reason until reversed. Operator-recorded content and platform evidence references are kept until 180 days after their specified expiry. These rights-review records are not proof of a platform's approval. The operator should avoid copying unnecessary personal data into block reasons or evidence references and can delete report details in response to an appropriate request.
To limit report spam, the server uses an HMAC-derived identifier from the connection IP address in fixed hourly counters, without storing that raw IP in the copyright database. Those identifiers expire at the end of the hour; global daily counters expire at the end of the UTC day. Cleanup normally runs within a minute while the service is running. Backups, email messages and hosting logs have separate retention arrangements that the operator must disclose for the installation.
Browser storage and cookies
Your theme and language preferences are saved in local storage. Platform selection, separate YouTube/Instagram link drafts, and the current job identifier and platform are saved in session storage to restore the interface and reconnect a tab. Link drafts can therefore remain in your browser even if you have not submitted them. You can remove these items through your browser's site-data controls; doing so can reset preferences and job recovery. Session storage normally lasts for the browsing session, subject to browser session-restoration behaviour.
The application does not include third-party analytics or advertising tracking scripts and does not read cookies from your signed-in YouTube or Instagram browser sessions. If optional tracking is introduced, the notice and any required choices must be updated before that feature is enabled. The acceptance notice does not enable optional tracking or waive your privacy rights.
Sources, sponsors and payment services
Content platforms receive requests needed to retrieve the requested public video. This installation runs on Bluehost servers in Ashburn, Virginia, United States. Hosting and network providers process connections needed to operate the service; their related processing may occur in other locations.
Where configured, downloads use an operator-managed platform session stored privately on the server. This does not sign visitors in or read their personal platform cookies. The platform may associate requested video links and download activity with that operator account.
Direct sponsor placements use text and links, without third-party advertising scripts. Sponsor and payment sites receive information when you visit them and apply their own policies. Payment details are entered on the external payment page; this application does not receive card details or verify payments. The application does not implement a sale of visitor profiles or personal-data lists.
Your choices and requests
You can stop using the service, clear browser storage and let temporary results expire. Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to processing, and you may complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Contact the operator to make a request. We cannot retrieve browser-only drafts from the server or identify an individual from aggregate counters alone. Do not submit extra sensitive information merely to identify a job.
Age requirements and security
Use the service only when you meet the age and permission requirements that apply where you live. A parent or guardian can contact the operator about a child's information. Access restrictions, temporary retention and limited public job fields reduce exposure, but no service can promise absolute security.
Updates
Changes to this notice will be published here with an updated date. Processing that requires a separate legal permission is not authorised merely by changing this page or by displaying the acceptance notice. Read the Terms of Service for the conditions of using the converter.
